In an effort to hone her leadership skills and take her role as VLCC Femina Miss India World 2020 seriously, Manasa Varanasi caught up with entrepreneur Pinky Reddy for a chat on Friday. The topics they spoke about ranged about everything from women empowerment and mental health to making Telugu folks proud on a global platform.
A nervous Manasa glittered in the gold saree she picked for the occasion. While the tiara perched on her head demanded attention, it was her wide smile that got it all. Dressed in red, Pinky was the perfect, warm host as she received Manasa at her palatial home and looked happy to have her there.
“Telugu people should be proud of what we have all achieved so far, but no one truly gives us credit for it either. But now that a Hyderabadi girl has been crowned, and gets the chance to represent us on a global platform, all that might change,” said an ecstatic Pinky. Manasa was eager to learn the qualities Pinky has and she must imbibe to become a leader. “Strength, confidence and knowing what you want are key. They’re qualities I learnt from my father (Subbarami Reddy) and once you imbibe them, nothing can stop you. There is a lot of weight on your shoulders now, but I am sure you will do well,” Pinky told her.
Manasa also requested Pinky Reddy help going forward as there’s a lot to do. “You are someone who has excelled at blending entrepreneurship with charity; I will need help in doing that. I want to represent our culture in the best way possible and start from the roots, right here in Hyderabad,” said Manasa.
